Official synopsis for Devils you Know:

“Having reluctantly agreed to share information with Rosalind and the ATCU, Coulson and the team go in search for the Inhuman who is killing off other Inhumans, and May feels that Hunter’s mission to take down Ward is getting too personal.”

We haven’t seen the mysterious Lash since the premiere, but that doesn’t mean he hasn’t been keeping busy. This week we caught up with the villainous inhuman that both S.H.I.E.L.D. and the ATCU have been hunting. But what has he been up to since the last time we saw him? This episode also featured Grant Ward’s return after his brief hiatus last week. Did Hunter and May catch up with the new head of Hydra? Keep reading to find out!

Lash was back with a vengeance, blasting through the apartment of a young inhuman couple right after Alicia (the inhuman with the ability of duplicating herself) showed up undercover for S.H.I.E.L.D. After he left everyone dead, Daisy and Mack quickly headed to the tunnels to search for Lash when the ATCU show up as their “unwanted backup”.

Coulson and Rosalind are now working together but for whose advantage? They can’t just be equally working together, so who’ll end up on top? An interesting theory has come up after Lash attacked a truck transporting an inhuman back to ACTU headquarters. Daisy was able to see him transform and from what I saw, it looked like a woman’s shadow. Maybe this is too far out of a theory, but could Rosalind also be Lash? If you have theories on who Lash might be then please share them!

One of the coolest scenes from the entire episode was the gunfight between Lance Hunter and Grant Ward. We saw how formidable Grant’s new HYDRA could be. Although, it is in a starter up stage, Ward’s soldiers were willing to protect their new Director with their lives.

However, Hunter did cross a line in his vendetta to get Ward, which ultimately led to him willingly sacrificing Dr. Andrew Garner, even after May pleaded with him to not go that far. How awkward will it be for May to work with the man who indirectlykilled her ex-husband, especially after it was established that she still had feelings for him.

Ward was smart and cunning, predicting that when the team found him, Andrew would be enough leverage to help him escape a tricky situation. Unfortunately for the team, Hunter has had selfish goals from the start to get revenge for Bobbi. But how will she react when she finds out what he did?

May warned Hunter that he would go too far and ironically he did. Even Bobbi knew that he was in trouble because of his tunnel vision for revenge. We have to wonder now if the team will scold him like they have done with Ward in the past. Hunter literally had no problem letting an innocent man die for his personal gain.

What if Andrew didn’t actually die though? We never did seethe body.

Next week looks like it will focus on Jemma Simmons and her mysterious disappearance but no one is going to complain! We will finally get some answers about what happened when she was trapped on the desolate planet. Now that she dropped a hugebombshell to Fitz that she needs to get back to that place, maybe with both of them working together, it’ll be easier for her to accomplish her goal.

Overall, it is clear that this episode will cause a huge domino effect for the rest of the season going forward. That is something I think we’ve all been waiting for. Will Hunter receive anyconsequences for what he’s done? And who is Lash? If you have any theories or comments about last night’s episode then comment below.
