That’s a wrap!
As Director Dallas Jenkins said in his latest video blog, it’s only fitting that the last shot on the last day would feature his leading man. In this short clip we get to see a glimpse of what actor Brett Dalton’s final day on set was like. It all seemed very bittersweet, especially when Dalton and Jenkins shared a very emotional hug after the actor’s final scene wrapped.
After twenty days of rigorous shooting during daylight (and sometimes nighttime) hours, the cast and crew finally reached their finish line. Jenkins gave off a sense of feeling very accomplished following that last shot they filmed and doesn’t hesitate in praising his cast and crew on their final day.
It’s nice to see what those final moments were like for Brett as he wrapped his first lead role in a feature film. The young actor’s bashful expression while he received a resonant applause from his crew was sure to make your heart soar with pride this holiday season.
We also get to see a lot more behind the scenes footage of the film this time around, including another short clip from the film itself. Dallas even teases a special scene that he did not want to spoil before fans get to see the film. We’ll have to wait until the film’s release to find out more about it.
But have no fear because this talented director leaves us with parting words that include a very serious promise: “I’m gonna do my job in post production and make a great movie from all the good stuff that we got.”
We don’t doubt that at all, Dallas!
Are you excited to finally see this film that you’ve been following all year? You won’t have to wait long. The Resurrection of Gavin Stone will be released in 2016.
